01How completion works here

Worming from Home currently tracks 31 achievements, and the global unlock rates read like a map of the game itself. Welcome to Corporate Finance sits at 100.0% because logging in is unavoidable. TOUCHDOWN! follows at 75.0% because a worm crossing a desk all week will hit 100 total yards without trying. From there the curve slides all the way down to Transcendental Invertebrate at 4.0%, and the stretch in between is a money ladder wearing an achievement list as a disguise. The story hands you the top of the list. The shop owns the bottom.

This roadmap puts all 31 in the order a normal player should attempt them, in four phases. Phase 1 is everything that falls out of playing the story properly, down to Day Trader at 25.0%. Phase 2 is deliberate mischief: ten achievements between 23.0% and 18.3% that the plot never asks for. Phase 3 is the grind wall, six unlocks under 13%, nearly all gated by money. Phase 4 is one achievement that grants itself when the other 30 are done.

Scale, before you commit an evening. The story runs roughly three to five hours. A full 100% typically takes six to eight. The fastest verified completion we know of is 5h44m, posted by Steam Hunters, and that is a ceiling, not a target. Percentages below are Steam's global rates from launch week; they will drift as the audience widens, but the shape of the curve holds.

02The v1.0.3 patch changed the climb

At launch there were 32 achievements, and the last one was called Why?, awarded for finishing the Wormhole's Torment Mode: the platforming variant with skinny blocks and no checkpoints that the community treats as the hardest thing in the game. On September 6, 2026 the v1.0.3 patch, the Achievement Patch, removed it. Torment Mode still exists and still pays out, but the reward is now a wall plaque, and the plaque counts for nothing on the list.

The practical effect is that completionists no longer need the nastiest platforming in the game for a clean file. That is what more forgiving means in the patch notes: the summit got shorter. If a guide lists 32 achievements or tells you to beat Torment Mode for the list, it predates September 6.

03The full checklist, in order

Here is the whole list as one working document. The order column is the suggested sequence, which mostly tracks rarity but breaks it where logic says so: Give Me Attention at 7.2% sits after Expensive Taste at 6.0% because the developer confirmed you want the full shop before everything pushable can be pushed. Four achievements are hidden on Steam, Prime Real Estate, Kafkaesque, Worm of Wall Street and Locked In, so their conditions stay blank until unlocked. Every other row states the condition exactly as Steam does.

💡 Work the table top to bottom. Each phase quietly assumes the gear and bank balance from the one before it.

04Phase 1: freebies through normal play

The first fourteen achievements are what you get for doing the job. Log in on day one for Welcome to Corporate Finance. Wiggle around and TOUCHDOWN! arrives on its own; 100 yards of cumulative travel is a couple of ordinary sessions of desk-crossing. Save $1,000 for the L-shaped desk and Prime Real Estate arrives with the trading terminal it unlocks. Answer M's first message inside one real-time minute and Wow, You're Desperate is yours, which is the only timed ask in the whole phase.

Three rows here need forethought rather than luck. Kafkaesque is the contract chain, sign, print, scan, return, and it has teeth: paper goes face-down in the scanner or you scan a blank, signatures finish before scanning, and the bin that destroys paperwork sits behind the printer where you need the trampoline. Locked In is the interview shopping list, webcam at $3,000, soundboard, framed photo, and buying any of it before Steve's call asks is a known progression soft-lock. The two perk caps, Absolutely Massive and Book Worm, sit in this phase by ownership, about a third of players have each, but they only fall if you drip-feed gym sessions before 10 a.m. and reading after 9 p.m. across the week.

The tail: clear the Wormhole for Whole Lotta Worm, finish M's route for Would You Still Love Me?, pass the interview for Worm of Wall Street, hire toward ten interns for Valuable Work Experience, roll the d20 daily until Stroke of Luck, and move 100 shares in one day for Day Trader. That last one wants the Financial Insight perk that lets a held Shift act as the buy button.

  1. Log in with 1234, then bash out the computer password worm123.
  2. Cross the desk as usual; TOUCHDOWN! totals your travel for you.
  3. Save $1,000 for the L-shaped desk, which starts the contract chain.
  4. Answer M within one real-time minute of her message.
  5. Push the contract through sign, print, scan and return; paper face-down.
  6. Gym before 10 a.m., reading after 9 p.m., until both perk trees cap.
  7. Buy webcam, soundboard and framed photo when Steve asks, never earlier.
  8. Clear the Wormhole for Whole Lotta Worm.
  9. Finish M's route, then pass the interview for Worm of Wall Street.
  10. Hire to ten interns, roll the d20 daily, and move 100 shares in a day.

05Phase 2: mischief and one-offs

Phase 2 is the ten achievements between 23.0% and 18.3% that the story never requests and the game absolutely keeps score of. None need serious money; the priciest prerequisite is the pile of dirt at $2,000 for God I Love Dirt, delivered three days after purchase, which makes it the only achievement with a lead time. Most of the rest are one deliberate act: draw on paper and destroy it for That Was Embarrassing, film an intern without permission for Surveillance State, send Steve a photo of yourself for Check Out This Cool Worm, break the radio for I Work Better in Silence, greet the ladybug for A New Friend, drink water in the Beverage Hat for A Thirsty, Thirsty Worm.

Two rows have setup worth knowing. Is This Even Legal? asks you to print a $1,000 bill, and the result is pure RNG: community reports run from one try to two hours of reprinting money.pdf, variance the developer has fielded questions about. Printed money is cosmetic and currently cannot be disposed of, which the developer acknowledged, so the bill becomes permanent desk furniture. I Hope You're Happy is the 911 achievement: keep calling Emergency Services, enjoy the escalation, collect the block. Nothing else in the game changes when you are blocked, as far as anything documents.

The last one is a small act of courage. Ugh, Boooooooringgggg asks you to hang up on your boss during the graded video call, the finale where Steve expects one-word answers and your employee ID. Hanging up is an achievement, 18.3% of players own it, and the promotion does not hang itself up: you still finish the interview properly afterward for Worm of Wall Street. Do the rude thing first, then do the professional thing. That is the entire phase.

  1. Draw on a piece of paper, then destroy it in the bin.
  2. Point the webcam at an intern who never agreed to filming.
  3. Send Steve a photo of yourself; he will not know what it means.
  4. Reprint money.pdf until the $1,000 bill comes up; it is RNG.
  5. Put on the Beverage Hat and take a drink from the cooler.
  6. Buy the $2,000 dirt pile, wait out the three-day delivery, commune.
  7. Find the ladybug and say hi.
  8. Call 911 until Emergency Services blocks the number.
  9. Break the radio; you lose the clock display with it.
  10. Hang up on Steve mid-call, then finish the interview for real.
💡 Break the radio last among the one-offs. It doubles as your desk clock, and the remaining mischief is easier to schedule when you can still see the time.

06Phase 3: the grinds

Everything from here down is a money problem wearing a costume. Six achievements sit under 13%, and all but one are gated by your bank balance. Five income streams are verified: task pay, which scales with your Financial Insight level; the $200 bonus for finishing five spreadsheet files inside 24 hours; the stock market, where Steve's voicemail tips move prices before the chart catches up and one launch stream recorded +17% and +21% net-worth nights from simply holding shares; interns, $400 for the first hire and roughly $100 more each time after, paying about $2 a pulse as observed by the community, with coffee and water dousing making the buff permanent, dev-confirmed; and the 5% interest perk deep in Financial Insight. Kevin, the priciest shop item at $10,000, is the top of that hill.

Order the six like this. Establish Dominance first, because it is cheap once you can pay: throw an intern into the bin behind the printer, the same bin the contract chain taught you to reach by trampoline. Absolute Expertise next, the S grade on the interview, best attempted while money is still building; one player showed Kevin to the webcam and earned an S, so the shop and the interview feed each other. Then the $100k balance for 10% of the Way to Buying a House, then Worm-fluencer, then Expensive Taste, then Give Me Attention.

Worm-fluencer deserves its own warning. Every achievement and challenge has a claimable reward on the smartphone's WormTok app, and only claimed rewards count. Claim as you go: hats, the rainbow skin, cursors, desktop backgrounds, a keyboard skin for rolling a Nat 20 or a Nat 1, an RGB mouse at a $100 bank milestone. Back-claiming thirty rewards in one sitting is an evening of menu work you could have spread across the week. Give Me Attention, dissected in the rare achievements guide, comes after Expensive Taste for a dev-confirmed reason: the phone, radio, cups and high-shelf items all count, and several of those exist only once bought.

  1. Establish Dominance: carry an intern to the bin behind the printer and let go.
  2. Prep and take the S-grade interview for Absolute Expertise.
  3. Stack all five income streams and hold $100k.
  4. Open WormTok every session and claim every banked reward.
  5. Buy out the whole shop, ending with Kevin at $10,000.
  6. Push every pushable item off the desk; it may only register on next launch.

07Phase 4: the summit

Transcendental Invertebrate, 4.0% and the rarest unlock in the game, has no secret condition and no technique. It grants itself the moment the other 30 are yours. There is no trick, which is the joke: you become a transcendent invertebrate by finishing a to-do list, like every promotion in finance. When it pops you are done, 31 of 31 on a post-patch file, and one of roughly one in twenty-five players the statistics can see.

What remains after the pop counts for nothing. Torment Mode still awards its wall plaque. Imminent Layoff Mode offers the harder second run with deadlines on everything. The Wormhole's gentler variants are still there, the market keeps ticking, and players describe post-promotion play as idle and pleasant. The achievement list is finished; the desk is not.

  1. Clear whichever stragglers remain on the checklist above.
  2. Let the final achievement grant itself; no extra input exists.
  3. Take the Torment Mode wall plaque only if you want it.
Transcendental Invertebrate: four percent of players, zero secret conditions.

08Scheduling the run

Where do the six to eight hours actually go? Not into the story and not into the mischief. The money is the mountain: ten interns at rising prices, the webcam at $3,000, the soundboard, the coffee machine at $8,000, Kevin at $10,000, and the $100k balance stacked on top, all paid from a salary built on spreadsheet tasks and compounded by trading. Budget sessions around money loops, voicemail check, tasks, the five-file bonus, trades, intern upkeep, and let achievements land as the balance climbs.

Housekeeping from the verified pile: the game keeps three save slots, dev-confirmed, and saves are plain JSON files, so snapshot a slot before any experiment you do not trust. And keep claiming WormTok rewards as achievements land. The claim queue is the single most forgotten step in otherwise efficient runs, and it is the difference between Worm-fluencer arriving with your last purchases and arriving a week later.

💡 Do the S-grade interview before your final money push. The community prep list wants maxed upgrades first, and by the end of the shop you own them all anyway.
Do I need Torment Mode for the 100%?

No. Since the v1.0.3 patch on September 6, 2026, Torment Mode awards a wall plaque and nothing on the achievement list. The old 32nd achievement, Why?, was removed and should be treated as unobtainable.

09Where to go next

The deep guides pick up where this roadmap thins out. The S-rank interview guide carries the full community prep list for Absolute Expertise. The smartphone rewards guide tracks every WormTok claim, the shop guide walks prices and purchase order, and the rare achievements guide dissects the seven hardest unlocks one by one. The how-long-to-beat guide breaks down pacing if you are still deciding whether the climb is for you. Bring a die for the Ctrl key and a tolerance for permanent printed currency.
