?How do I actually move the worm?

Worming from Home is a ragdoll physics game: you throw your body across the desk rather than walking. Short, flinging motions combined with small wiggles give the most control. A controller is fully supported alongside mouse and keyboard.

?How does typing work if I don't have hands?

You type by slamming your body against the keys, one key at a time. Tasks tell you exactly which cell needs which value, so read the instruction first, drag yourself into position, and bump the key.

?Is controller support any good?

Yes — the Steam listing advertises full controller support, including DualSense and DualShock, plus Steam Input features like color alternatives, custom volume controls and a playable-without-timed-input mode.

?What does a normal work day look like?

A day mixes spreadsheet tasks, answering messages, occasional phone calls and free time you can spend at the gym, reading, shopping or trading. The week builds toward a video call with your boss that decides your promotion.

?How do I get promoted?

Finish your daily work, keep your money growing, and prepare for the end-of-week video call with Steve. Passing the call promotes you to Associate Financial Analyst — the game tracks your interview performance by grade, with S as the top mark.

?How does the stock market work?

The market screen shows each stock's price, its change since the previous close, your holdings and your cash. Buy and sell buttons execute trades. Tips that arrive by phone or message can move prices, and buying during dips is a common community strategy.

?Can I lose money on stocks?

Yes — prices move both ways, so a position can lose value. Most players keep a cash buffer, spread buys across dips, and avoid going all-in on a single tip.

?What should I buy first?

Community consensus favors quality-of-life upgrades that speed up your daily work first, then the L-shaped desk (it unlocks its own achievement), and cosmetics like hats once income is comfortable. The shop guide has the full breakdown.

?What does the gym actually do?

Working out unlocks Muscle Mass perks — a full set earns the Absolutely Massive achievement. Perks and their exact effects are listed in the gym guide.

?What do self-help books do?

Reading unlocks Financial Insight perks, which support your money-making. Unlocking every perk earns the Book Worm achievement.

?Are hats just cosmetic?

Mostly yes — but not entirely. The Beverage Hat, for example, lets you drink water while wearing it, which feeds the A Thirsty, Thirsty Worm achievement.

?How long is the game?

A relaxed playthrough runs roughly three to four hours. Completionists report around six hours for everything — the fastest verified 100% run in launch week was 5 hours 44 minutes. Your mileage varies with how much you embrace the physics comedy.

?Is there a demo?

Yes — a free standalone demo is on Steam, and progress discussions suggest it covers the opening of the game. It's a good way to test whether the physics controls click for you.

?Which languages does the game support?

English (with full voice acting), French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian and Simplified Chinese for interface and subtitles. This guide is published in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian and Polish.

?Does it run on Mac or Steam Deck?

The game ships for Windows 10 and newer and macOS 11+ (Apple Silicon recommended for the best experience). There is no native Linux build. Steam Deck play is possible but not officially verified — see the performance guide.

?Where are my saves, and is Steam Cloud supported?

Steam Cloud is supported. Saves are plain JSON files stored under the game's folder in AppData/LocalLow on Windows, which makes manual backups easy — the save guide walks through it.

?Who made the game and what does it cost?

Worming from Home was made by Zach Northrop and Mason Sabharwal and released on September 4, 2026 for $7.99, with a $2.99 Supporter Pack DLC. It was 25% off during launch week.
